We are glad to announce that the Yangzhou Positioning Tech. Co., Ltd has gain the AEO Certificate on 29th October 2013. What is the AEO certificate (Authorized Economic Operator) and what are the benefits? The World Customs Organization (WCO) has created the conditions for modern, effective risk management in the customs administrations with the “Framework of Standard to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade” (SAFE) as a result of increased globalization and the changing international security situation. The introduction of the authorized economic operator (AEO) is an important part of the EU security concept. What is the authorized economic operator (AEO) about? The AEO status may be requested by companies that reside in the European Union and have been involved in customs procedures since 1 January 2008. Companies with this status are considered to be particularly reliable and trustworthy. They are given special benefits during customs clearance. The aim is to secure the continuous international supply chain from the manufacturer of a product to the consumer. The global recognition of the AEO status is required for this. The status is already being recognized by Switzerland, Norway, Japan, the USA and China. Negotiations are currently underway with third countries. The mutual recognition leads to quicker customs clearance. Which variants are there? The AEO authorization is valid in all EU Member Status and is entered for an indefinite period of time. 3 variants are possible: AEO authorization “Customs simplifications” (AEOC) AEO authorization “Security” (AEOS) AEO authorization “Customs simplifications and security” (AEOC and AEOS) (combined authorization) Certain requirements must be met to receive this authorization. Which benefits does an AEO have? Simpler customs clearance: Fewer goods inspections This results in more reliable deliveries Trust and security Internationally recognized quality seal Indirect benefits from process enhancements and internal control mechanisms: Less theft Fewer unexplained losses of goods Fewer delays in shipping Fewer security incidents Improved cooperation with business partners.
